Part IV.
Before incorporation the Granny Ride collected donations of cash. We have an annual motorcycle ride, sell t-shirts and jewelery. We hold auctions and have dinners to raise money to help families that have not received state or federal assistance. Presently we are planning for our 2009 motorcycle ride to be held in September. We plan on receiving cash donations in addition to the income of the the ride, dinners, shirt and jewelery sales. On September 19th we plan on having a dinner and over night camping with a memorial balloon release and t-shirt sales to help generate capital. We have had some discussion about having a group of kids doing a car wash and bake sale. There has been some discussion about applying for grants in the future. We have not explored that avenue yet. We plan on continuing our annual ride, dinners, and the selling of related items for many years of assistance to families with cancer. All work is done by volunteers. We do not pay anyone for any work they may do. At the present time we are paying sales tax on our t-shirts and jewelery. Everything we do is strictly on volunteer and donation basis. The only exception is t-shirt and jewelery we purchase for re-sale. This is funded by the money raised throughout the year. Releif of this tax will futher our goals by keeping more of the money raised to go towards our cause
