This year has brought us some great changes. We are now a 501(c)3 not for profit - tax exempt organization. That is right, it means you may claim your donation on your taxes. Along with the changes with the IRS we are now working with doctor offices to aid in helping cancer patients. The Guidelines are as follows:
1. Must not be receiving State or Federal Funding at the time, however they may have an application pending.
2.Must demonstrate a true financial need.
3.A person would qualify if they are going through treatment and get laid off from work, or unable to work due to side effects from treatment.
4.We are asking that potential recipients be referred by their physician.
We are trying to expand our services in a way that we can help with gas cards to get patients to doctor visits, buy medicine if needed, or grant a final wish to those who are terminal.
